About Me

I’m Andrew — a portrait photographer based in the West Midlands, working both locally and nationally.

Cameras have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. During early childhood the infamous point-and-shoot and family digital camera is how I captured most of my fond memories, it was about capturing authenticity and those real moments. I received my first ‘proper’ DSLR for my 18th birthday - a note-able moment marking a turning point. What began as an experimental hobby changed into a pursuit leading me to study photography at university aged 21 providing me with the necessary tools to step into the freelance world.

My approach to photography combines a modern edge with authenticity something I’ve always searched for in image making. I believe this has stemmed from my upbringing. You could say a sense of nostalgia for authenticity - I feel this is extremely relevant in today’s world. Drawn towards bold intimate portraiture that convey authentic moments. To me photography is more than aesthetics, it’s about telling a story - your story. Whether it’s a simplistic portrait or a bold collaboration between creatives, my aim is to reflect your story with my lens.

I work well with a range of people, however collaboration with other creatives is where my passion lies - fashion designers, musicians, other photographers, and videographers who value the importance of self expression and individuality. If you’re in need of a photographer who can adapt, listen, and provide a visual identity for you and your brand - reach out, and connect! Let’s get to work and create something incredible.
